Joey loses Captain Nicholls and gets a new rider called Trooper Warren. Trooper Warren is kind but he is not a good horseman

The situation I would connect war horse with is the fact that horses do not only die pointlessly in books but they are also abused and they die pointlessly in life because owners do not take care of them properly. People also die pointlessly in life because of wars started by goverment and poverty

1. Why do you think that Albert did not make much of a scene?
2. Do you think that Albert will make it into the army before 17?
3.Do you think that Joey will ever meet up with Albert again?
4. Do you think that Captain Nicholls will be Joeys only rider for the entire war?
5. Do you think that Joey will make friends with any other horses?

In the first chapter, the horse (Joey) is sold i during an auction to a drunk man that abuses him. Joey is very scared and tries to fight but there are to many people. Joey is brought back to a farm and meets another horse called Zoey. The drunk man leaves and a young boy called Albert enters the stable and cares for Joey's sores. Albert and Joey grow up together and form a special bond. Albert takes Joey for walks. Then Albert's dad (the drunk man) makes a bet with a rival farmer. The bet is that joey gas to be able to plough the whole field and he only has one week to practice. Joey completes the challenge and Albert's dad is happy. Albert then tells Joey that there's likely to be a war and they find out that there definitely is going to be a war.
